CASTLEGAR — The Regional District of Central Kootenay is inviting contractors to bid on upgrades to the Ootischenia Landfill transfer station near Castlegar.
The project, listed as tender PRJ26002 and posted October 30, calls for construction of an upgraded transfer station facility. The advertised work includes a new z-wall, an infiltration pond, a frontage road, an operational area and an 80-foot scale.
The RDCK is accepting tenders until November 30 at 2 p.m. Mountain Standard Time, as specified in its procurement notice. The public notice does not give a project budget or construction timetable, and no contract award is listed.
The transfer station tender is separate from upgrades to the Ootischenia septage facility covered by another procurement process. The proposed construction also concerns different operations from the RDCK's previously announced compost sales.
