Thierry Brenon, missing from Slocan since 2025, located deceased

SLOCAN — Thierry Emile Brenon, a Slocan man who had been missing since early 2025, has been located deceased, Slocan Lake RCMP says.

RCMP confirmed the update Sept. 24 in a notice connected to the same police file opened when Brenon was reported missing Feb. 2, 2025. Police have not publicly released further details about the circumstances of his death.

Brenon was 71 when he was reported missing. At the time, RCMP said he had last been heard from before Christmas 2024 and had last been seen in Slocan.

Police described his prolonged absence as out of character and said they were concerned for his health and well-being. Brenon did not have a vehicle and frequently used BC Transit, according to the original missing-person notice.

RCMP has not publicly disclosed a cause of death in the material currently available.
