MIDWAY — Dr. Campbell was scheduled to begin practising part-time at the Midway Medical Clinic on Nov. 2, according to an Oct. 21 news release from the Village of Midway and Prima Health Cooperative.
The two organizations announced the appointment following Prima Health's recruitment efforts to bring physicians to the community. The development follows an August agreement between the village and the cooperative intended to sustain medical services amid a physician shortage.
The joint release said a second physician is expected to begin in early May 2027, which would allow the clinic to operate on a full-time basis. The prospective second physician was not identified, and the announcement did not give a weekly work schedule for Dr. Campbell.
Prima Health will prioritize cases according to patients' care needs as the new physician joins the clinic, the village said. Patients are asked to call when they need medical attention rather than book an introductory visit with Dr. Campbell. The Midway Medical Clinic is listed at 500 Haynes St. and can be reached by telephone at 250-449-2218.
