Watermain break affects water service in lower Rossland

ROSSLAND — A watermain break on Davis Street and Black Diamond Drive in lower Rossland was affecting water service Thursday.

The City of Rossland said repair crews were on site and working as quickly as possible to restore service.

Water service to the affected area would be temporarily shut off until repairs were complete, according to a notice issued by the city Thursday afternoon.

When service resumes, the city advised people in the affected area to run a cold-water tap for a few minutes to remove any air from the lines.

The city apologized for the inconvenience and thanked those affected for their patience.

The notice did not provide an estimated time for completion of the repairs.
