ROSSLAND — The sidewalk on the east side of Washington Street beside the Steamshovel is scheduled to close November 3–6 during construction on a neighbouring building, according to the City of Rossland.

The affected section runs between Second Avenue and the alley. Pedestrians are asked to use alternate routes while work is underway. The city says directional signs will be posted at First Avenue and Second Avenue to guide people around the construction area.

The city's October 27 notice does not specify daily closure hours or a designated detour route. Pedestrians should follow the posted signs while construction continues.
