RDKB directors to be sworn in November 10

GRAND FORKS — Incoming directors of the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary (RDKB) are scheduled to be sworn in Tuesday, November 10, following the October 17 local elections.

The RDKB lists a Board of Directors meeting from 1 to 3 p.m. at its Grand Forks boardroom, 2140 Central Avenue. Microsoft Teams access is available, and residents can contact the regional district at 250-368-9148 for meeting details.

The board represents five electoral areas and eight municipalities. Electoral-area directors are elected or acclaimed, while municipal representatives are appointed by their councils. Under provincial legislation, the board elects a chair and vice-chair at its first meeting after November 1.
