The Boundary Community Food Bank is holding an online auction featuring items donated by local merchants through Aug. 21.

The auction began Aug. 11, with bidding taking place in the comments beneath photos of individual auction items on the Food Bank’s Facebook page. Bids must increase by at least $1, and bidding closes at 6 p.m. Aug. 21.

The auction comes as the Food Bank continues fundraising while working toward the purchase of a permanent home. On June 1, the organization announced it was beginning fundraising efforts as it worked toward purchasing what it called its “forever home.”

The Boundary Community Food Bank is based in Grand Forks and works to address food insecurity throughout the Boundary region. The organization is primarily volunteer driven and accepts food and financial donations.

People interested in taking part in the auction can find the available items and place bids on the Boundary Community Food Bank’s Facebook page before the Aug. 21 deadline.
