Penticton RCMP seek potential witness in Sept. 11 robbery investigation

PENTICTON — RCMP are asking the driver of a silver Ford Taurus who was in the area of Main Street and White Avenue West late Sept. 11 to come forward as a potential witness in a robbery investigation.

Police said the robbery occurred at about 11:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 11. The Penticton RCMP Serious Crime Unit is investigating, and officers believe the driver of the Taurus may have information that could assist the investigation.

RCMP described the person only as a potential witness. Police did not provide a physical description of the driver or further details about the robbery, including what was taken or whether a suspect has been identified.

The public appeal was issued Sept. 26. RCMP had not posted an update locating the witness or withdrawing the appeal as of Monday morning.

The driver, or anyone who can identify them, is asked to contact Penticton RCMP at 250-492-4300 and reference file 2026-15066.
