Allan runs for 221 yards, four TDs as Okanagan Sun rout Kodiaks 67–13

KELOWNA — Jaxon Allan ran for 221 yards and four touchdowns as the Okanagan Sun rolled past the Prince George Kodiaks 67–13 Saturday, Aug. 15 at the Apple Bowl.
The win improved Okanagan to 3–1 on the BC Football Conference season and set up a meeting between two 3–1 teams Saturday when the Sun travel to face the Westshore Rebels.
Allan carried the ball 18 times and accounted for more than half of Okanagan’s 347 rushing yards, according to the Canadian Junior Football League’s Week 5 recap.
Quarterback Marcus Christos added three rushing touchdowns and threw two more, completing 11 passes for 141 yards. Tyler Craver and Noah Borhot caught the touchdown passes.
Okanagan’s defence also gave Prince George little room to work, holding the Kodiaks to five rushing yards and forcing four turnovers.
Prince George quarterback Toby Plett connected with Andrew Brown for the Kodiaks’ only touchdown.
The 54-point win was Okanagan’s second straight blowout at home. The Sun defeated the Valley Huskers 78–11 at the Apple Bowl on Aug. 8.
Okanagan opened the season with a 45–17 win over the Vancouver Island Raiders before suffering its only loss so far, 32–25 against the Langley Rams on July 25.
The Sun have since won two straight and will now face another team near the top of the conference standings.
Westshore improved to 3–1 Saturday with a 43–16 victory over the Valley Huskers.
Okanagan and Westshore meet Saturday, Aug. 22 at Starlight Stadium in Langford. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. Pacific.
