Toronto-raised actor and musician Keanu Reeves brought his rock band Dogstar to late-night television Thursday, just over a month before the trio is due to play Vancouver.

Reeves joined bandmates Bret Domrose and Rob Mailhouse on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Aug. 13, where Dogstar performed “Joy.”

“Joy” appears on Dogstar’s fourth studio album, All In Now, which was released May 29. The 12-track album was produced by Nick Launay and follows the band’s 2023 comeback record, Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees.

Reeves plays bass in the trio, alongside guitarist and vocalist Domrose and drummer Mailhouse.

Although born in Beirut, Reeves was raised in Toronto, where he began performing in local theatre and television before moving to Los Angeles. He was inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame in 2021.

Dogstar’s All In Now tour includes two upcoming Canadian dates.

The band is set to play the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls, Ont., on Aug. 21.

B.C. fans will get their turn Sept. 16, when Dogstar is scheduled to perform at Vancouver’s Vogue Theatre. The all-ages show is set to begin at 7:30 p.m.
