Blasting brings Highway 3A delays near Brilliant through Aug. 21
Blasting work at the Brilliant rest area is expected to cause delays on Highway 3A between Castlegar and Nelson through Aug. 21.

KOOTENAYS — Motorists travelling between Castlegar and Nelson should expect delays on Highway 3A as blasting continues near the Brilliant rest area.
Yellowhead Road & Bridge Kootenay is carrying out a blasting project at the rest area from Aug. 12 through Aug. 21.
A daily highway closure is scheduled to begin at about 12:30 p.m. and last approximately 20 minutes.
DriveBC also lists blasting at the Brilliant rest area through Aug. 21 and advises motorists to expect delays of about 20 minutes.
The Brilliant rest area is scheduled to be closed from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday while the work is underway.
Motorists travelling through the area are advised to watch for crews and equipment and check DriveBC for current conditions.
