Sarah Vanderzon to join John Muirhead for two Okanagan shows
Québec singer-songwriter Sarah Vanderzon will perform in Penticton Nov. 18 and Lake Country Nov. 19 as a special guest on John Muirhead’s The Never Ending Road Tour.

Quebec-born folk and Americana singer-songwriter Sarah Vanderzon will make back-to-back Okanagan appearances this fall as a special guest on John Muirhead’s The Never Ending Road Tour. The performances are scheduled for Penticton on Nov. 18 and Lake Country on Nov. 19.
The Penticton show begins at 8 p.m. at The Hub on Martin, with tickets listed at $25. The following evening’s performance begins at 7 p.m. at Creekside Theatre in Lake Country, where tickets are $39, including fees and tax.
Universal Music Canada included the two Okanagan dates in an Aug. 21 announcement about Vanderzon’s new single, “Oh My Child.” The accompanying music video was filmed by Dustin Haney and shows Vanderzon performing with her guitar in a rural setting.
The song draws on childhood memories and the anxiety and self-doubt that can emerge while growing up. Vanderzon said she began writing it after returning from a cottage weekend with her brothers, their partners and cousins before the song developed into a reflection on adolescence and adulthood. “I want it to serve as an anthem for the kid you used to be, and the kid you still are at heart,” she said in the label’s announcement.
“Oh My Child” was created in collaboration with Grammy-nominated producer Ryan Hadlock at Bear Creek Studio in the Seattle area. It follows “Being Free,” released July 10, and marks their second collaboration.
Vanderzon grew up outside Montreal and won the Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase in 2024. She subsequently signed with Universal Music Canada and released her major-label debut EP, Fortune Teller, in 2025.
Before joining Muirhead’s fall tour, Vanderzon will perform at the inaugural Boots and Hearts West festival at Fan Park at ICE District in Edmonton. She is scheduled on the second stage from 5:30 to 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28.
