Man expected to survive after alleged attack near Lund
Powell River RCMP are seeking witnesses after a 45-year-old man was hospitalized with multiple stab wounds following an alleged attack along Highway 101 near Lund.

A 45-year-old man is expected to survive after an alleged attack along Highway 101 near Lund left him with multiple stab wounds, according to Powell River RCMP. Police said they were contacted Aug. 30 after the man was admitted to hospital.
Initial evidence suggests he had been walking along Highway 101 at about 4 a.m. when he was allegedly attacked by a group of unknown suspects, RCMP said. The release did not provide suspect descriptions or say how many people were believed to have been involved.
Powell River RCMP are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the detachment at 604-485-6255. The investigation is being handled under file 2026-4692.
