New book revisits Japanese Canadian families displaced to Grand Forks
A commemorative album assembled by Japanese Canadians living around Grand Forks in 1946 has been reproduced in a new bilingual book examining their forced relocation during the Second World War.

The Grand Forks & District Public Library will celebrate 80 years since it opened its doors on Oct. 16, 1946, with an anniversary event next month that will look back at the people and places that shaped the institution.
