RDKB FireSmart rebate funding exhausted as 2027 program remains uncertain

Residents hoping to submit a new application for help paying for wildfire mitigation work will have to wait for another funding round after the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary exhausted its available 2026 FireSmart residential rebate money.
