Crash causes highway closure, no serious injuries

Highway 22 near Genelle was reduced to single-lane, alternating traffic briefly  this afternoon after a single-vehicle roll-over, according to Kootenay Boundary Regional Fire Rescue Cpt. Grant Tyson.

He said four firefighters from Genelle and three from Trail responded to a call that came in at 2 p.m.

He said the vehicle, an SUV, had three occupants, all of whom were treated for minor injuries by BC Ambulance Services.

The cause of the crash is unknown, as road conditions were clear.

The incident is being investigated by RCMP.
