Penticton RCMP cruiser involved in collision on Main Street

Penticton RCMP is investigating a collision between a marked on-duty SUV police vehicle and a motorist in a truck Sunday afternoon at approximately 4 p.m.
The accident happened between a police cruiser and private vehicle at the intersection of Main Street and Warren Avenue.
The impact also caused the police vehicle to come into contact with a second vehicle in the immediate vicinity of the initial collision.
"Although there was substantial damage to the police vehicle and the pick-up truck, neither the officer nor the occupants of the two other vehicles suffered injuries which required immediate medical attention at the time of the collision," said the RCMP media release.
"The Penticton RCMP Traffic Unit investigators are continuing their investigation into the collision.
Police are asking anyone to have witnessed the collision or have information regarding the matter who have not yet spoken to police, are asked to contact Cpl Ted Manchulenko of the Penticton RCMP at 250-492-4300.
