‘Imagine The Stories’ Winner of 2016 People`s Choice Award

“Imagine the Stories” by Winlaw artists Rabi’a and Carl Schlichting, was the big winner at the 2016 Castlegar Sculpturewalk Awards, taking home the coveted People’s Choice Award. This sculpture will now stay in the City’s permanent collection.

People’s Choice Awards:
1) $15,000 (sculpture purchase) + $3000 cash = “Imagine the Stories” by Rabi’a and Carl Schlichting (Winlaw, BC)
2) $1500 = “Sculpture Walk” by Spring Shine, Christopher Petersen & Hans Winter (Argenta, BC)
3) $500 = “Lunar Flyer” by Heather Wall (Powell River, BC)
Artist Merit Awards:
1) $3000 = “Sculpture Walk” by Spring Shine, Christopher Petersen & Hans Winter (Argenta, BC)
2) $1500 = “White Sturgeon” by Kevin Kratz (Pass Creek, BC)
3) $500 = “All Strings Attached” by Kate Tupper (Nakusp, BC)
