More precipitation expected, snow for some mountain highways

It's the first day of November and Mother Nature continues to pound the West Kootenay/Boundary region with precipitation.
And the cooler temperatures mean the white stuff continues to fall on the upper levels, including the Kootenay Pass.
Environment Canada forecast has showers for the rest of the week with snow expected at 1500 meters today and 1600 meters Wednesday, with an accumulation of 5 to 10 mm.
Drivers must have good winter tires for mountain passes with winter tire and chain-up regulations are in effect from October 1 to March 31.
Motorists are advised to check DriveBC when travelling within the province.
