ROSSLAND'S WINTER CARNIVAL

Rossland's Winter Carnival has some fun for everyone, and events start happening on Thursday, January 28. A multitude of attractions around town include but are not limited to:
Music in various venues -- the old firehall, the Flying Steamshovel, Rafters Lounge, and more;
The parade -- don't miss it! 6:30 pm on Friday, downtown;
A Variety Show;
The Sonny Samuelson Bobsled Race down Spokane Street;
The final Winter Market of the season, at the Miners Hall;
A Fat Bike Demo;
Free public ice skating at the outdoor rink, conditions permitting;
Luge Lessons at Red Mountain Resort;
"King of the Mountain" race at Red;
"Sculptasaurus" and other fun stuff at the Museum;
Food Vendors offering a variety of selections;
The John Heinz Relay Race from the top of Red to the Lions Campground; and, also at the Lions Campground, the Kids' Carnival, by the Seven Summits Centre for Learning;
Rossland Beer Company's Olaus Jeldness look-alike competiiton;
A new event, the Snow Skate Downhill race on Spokane Street;
A Luge Race at Red Mountain Resort;
A Fat Bike XC race at Redstone Golf Course;
Red Mountain Resort's Family Fun Night, with free night skiing and much more;
Revolution's "Fat Duro", a Fat bike enduro race;
A Fire Show at Harry LeFevre Square;
