Gas leak at Christina Lake

By Boundary Sentinel

A gas leak in Christina Lake was quickly handled by Christina Lake Fire Rescue and Fortis BC.

Fortis BC received a call at 3:50 Monday afternoon to alert them to "third party damage" to one of their lines on West Lake Drive. The cause of the damage is unknown, but it was not a result of Fortis crews working in the area.

Fortis arrived on site at 4:10 p.m. It took them until 5:22 to get the gas under control. There were three outtages in the area and those were repaired by 7:30 p.m. The fire department stayed at the site until everything was under control.
