Rebels live to play again, edge Nitehawks 4-3 in overtime – Eagles, Riders, Chiefs also win

Not so fast Beaver Valley.
Facing a must-win situation, the Castlegar Rebels rode the 46-save performance of Jordan Gluck to edge the Hawks 4-3 in overtime Monday in Game five of the Murdoch Division Final at the Fruitvale Arena.
Game six of the best-of-seven Kootenay International Junior Hockey League's Conference semi final goes Tuesday in Castlegar.
Arthur Andrews score at 17:59 of the second overtime period to power the Rebels to the victory.
Beaver Valley, winners of the Murdoch Division regular season title, threw everything but the kitchen sink at the Castlegar goal, out shooting the Rebels 49-31 — including a 10-5 total in overtime.
Scott Morriseau scored twice and Tyler Robinson added a single for Castlegar.
Arie Postmus, Kootenay Ice affiliate player Jake Lucchini and Dallas Calvin replied for the Hawks.
Along with the stellar play of Gluck, another key to Castlegar's upset win was the ability of the Rebels to keep the Three-Headed Monster in Ryan Edwards, Chris Derochie and Craig Martin off the scoresheet.
The trio had combined for 18 points in previous four games, including seven markers.
Each team scored twice on the power play.
Game six goes at 7:30 p.m. in the Castlegar Community Complex Arena.
Chiefs advance, Riders, Eagles take series leads
The Kelowna Chiefs continue its playoff run after knocking the Posse out of the post-season with a 5-4 overtime win in Princeton Monday.
T.J. Dumonceaux scored the winner in the first overtime period after Landon Andrusiak tied the game with just over a minute remaining in the third period.
The Chiefs win the series 4-1.
In Fernie, the Riders built up a 3-0 lead en route to a 6-3 win over the Kimberley Dynamiters.
Fernie leads the series 3-2 with game six Tuesday in Kimberley.
In Kamloops, the Eagles held period leads of 3-0 and 6-1 en route to an 8-2 thrashing of the Storm.
