Healthy aging is important for everyone, says the non-profit Alzheimer Society of B.C.
“And it is essential not to forget the health of your brain as well,” says Linda Hoskin, the Society’s regional support and education coordinator.
To help area residents, the Society will run an informational workshop, Heads Up: An Introduction to Brain Health, on Thursday, Sept. 29 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Grand Forks campus of Selkirk College.
The two-hour session will stress the importance of actively protecting and maintaining good brain health, offering practical strategies and goals for improving the health of your mind, body and spirit.
Space is limited so pre-registration is required. For information and to register call 250-442-2704.
Fee is just $15, thanks to partial funding from the Province of BC, Pfizer Canada Inc., Lohn Foundation, Novartis Pharmaceuticals Canada Inc. and RBC Foundation.
